1. What do I need in order to connect to my site via FTP? [ top ]

In order to connect to your website via FTP, you will need some sort of FTP client software. Visit Tucows and do a search for "FTP Client" for your specific OS.

You will also need to know your ftp login (also referred to as your "userid"), your ftp password for the domain. Use your domain name for the host.

You need to upload files pertaining to your website to your "httpdocs" directory inside the root of your account.
Web Users will upload their content to their home directory in the /web_users/
Any programs you wish to run as a cgi goes into the /cgi-bin/ directory.
